Global Semiconductor Market Tops $39.4 Billion
While global markets eye a recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the semiconductor industry reports $39.4 billion in sales in November 2020. This is a 7% year-over-year increase and a $400 million increase over October 2020.
Despite the pandemic, the semiconductor industry has continued to show impressive gains in 2020 reporting. “Regionally, sales increased on a Y/Y basis in the Americas 12.5%, China 6.5%, Asia Pacific/All Other 6.5%, and Japan 5.1%, but decreased slightly in Europe -0.7%” via Seeking Alpha.
As other industries have hope of recovering from the pandemic in 2021, the semiconductor industry seems to be ahead of the curve and recovery is expected to continue to be strong into the new year.
